Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Panipat, Haryana, on December 9, 2024, to launch the Bima Sakhi Yojana. This initiative aims to empower women by providing them with financial security and support. The scheme is expected to benefit millions of women across the nation. The launch event will be organized in Panipat where PM Modi previously inaugurated the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign in 2015 to promote women's empowerment and development.
Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, visited Sector 13/17 to review the district administration's arrangements for the women's empowerment event. He praised the 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign for saving lakhs of girls children's lives and emphasized the positive impact of the event on Maharashtra elections. Around 60,000 women will participate in the event. Chief Secretary Vivek Joshi also visited the programme venue to ensure proper arrangements along with Deputy Commissioner Virender Kumar Dahiya.
Haryana CM mentioned, "In the continuations of these schemes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi would launch a new scheme 'Bima Sakhi' for women empowerment on December 9, benefitting lakhs of women." He added, "People have elected the BJP government for the third time in the state. The people's trust would be maintained, and the government would do three times as much work as it did in its last two terms."
