  • PM Modi highlights MIGA in line with America’s MAGA

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the "MEGA partnership for prosperity" between the two nations, combining President Trump's "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) slogan with his vision of "Make India Great Again" (MIGA). The partnership aims to boost bilateral trade to USD 500 billion by 2030, focusing on trade, energy, and defense.

PM Modi posted on his social media platform X, "President Trump often talks about MAGA. In India, we are working towards a Viksit Bharat, which in the American context translates into MIGA. Together, India and the US have a MEGA partnership for prosperity." Additionally, he mentioned his meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, stating, "An excellent meeting with POTUS Donald Trump at the White House. Our talks will add momentum to the India-US Friendship."

While addressing the conference, PM Modi mentioned that as Americans are familiar with President Trump's MAGA slogan, Indians are working towards Viksit Bharat 2047. He noted that this meeting aims to increase bilateral trade to USD 500 billion by 2030, with teams from both nations working to meet the objectives. They are also advancing in joint development, production, and technology transfer.

PM Modi wrote on X, "The people of America are well aware of President Trump's 'MAGA - Make America Great Again.' The people of India, too, are focusing on heritage and development as they move towards Viksit Bharat 2047. In American terms, this is 'Make India Great Again' - MIGA. When America and India work together, MAGA plus MIGA becomes a 'mega partnership for prosperity."
