PM Modi Advocates Women-Led Financial Inclusion: Kalpana Ajayan

During the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025, held in Mumbai, Kalpana Ajayan, Regional Head South Asia for Women’s World Banking, recognized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision in which financial inclusion is for women, but must also be led by women. She reiterated that women should be the ones driving women's financial inclusion.

Kalpana expressed her appreciation to the government for allowing GFF to take place, adding her perspective by stating how financial inclusion touches many stakeholders, including banks, fintechs and insurance. She added that a conference like GFF is a fantastic opportunity to come together across the ecosystem.

Vikas Bansal, Amazon Pay Director, said the sixth edition of GFF has evolved exponentially over the years and appreciated the event for its energy and participation.

He appreciated that Amazon Pay has several payment options like credit cards, Buy Now Pay Later, wallets, and UPI and underscored the recent launch of UPI biometric authorization that enables faster and more secure transactions.

Rajdeep Gupta, Managing Director, CEO, and Founder of Root Mobile, thanked PM Modi for the Digital India initiative. He mentioned that India has the world's largest UPI platform and pointed to the increased global appreciation and reach of Indian fintech.
