Northeast Pencak Silat Womens League to be Hosted in Nagaland

- Nagaland Pencak Silat Association will host the ASMITA Khelo India Pencak Silat Women’s League, North East Zone.
- The event will take place on March 17 and 18.
- Winners will receive cash prizes from the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS).
The Nagaland Pencak Silat Association (NPSA) will host the ASMITA Khelo India Pencak Silat Women’s League, North East Zone, on March 17 and 18 at the DBC Indoor Stadium in Dimapur. Around 500 female athletes from across the Northeast will compete in various categories during the two-day event.
The ASMITA Khelo India Pencak Silat Women’s League is supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The event is supervised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
The league aims to promote women’s participation in sports and identify promising talent in the region. Competitions include Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior divisions in both combat and artistic events.
Artistic events will feature Tunggal (Single), Creative Solo (Single), Ganda (Dual), and Regu (Team) performances.
Winners of this Women’s League will receive cash prizes from the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS). Gold medalists will receive Rs 6000, Silver medalists Rs 4000, and Bronze medalists Rs 2000 in all events.
All Gold medalists will have the opportunity to represent their state in the upcoming Khelo India National Pencak Silat Women’s League 2025. The event is supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) and supervised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI). Mainly the event focuses to promote women’s participation in sports and identify promising talent in the region.
IPSF recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, will host Pencak Silat competitions in five different zones across India.
This initiative aims to provide a structured platform for Pencak Silat athletes to showcase their talent and strengthen India's presence in International Games.
The league provides a national platform for women athletes to compete and grow in the sport. Aspiring Pencak Silat athletes and sports enthusiasts are invited to witness the event and support Nagaland's young talents.
