The Women's Handball League (WHL) managed by Pavna Sports Venture has partnered with Indian sporting goods manufacturer Nivia Sports for a multi-year sponsorship deal to provide essential equipment and professional playing experiences for WHL athletes. In this partnership, Nivia becomes the official sponsor of WHL, providing balls, kits, and other gear while promoting women's handball in India by providing the athletes with professional playing experience.
WHL and Nivia additionally launched the "Future Handball Champions Program" to identify and nurture talented young female handball players in India. The WHL, set to launch in January 2025, will be a groundbreaking event in Southeast Asia, featuring prominent players from India, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The initiative will hunt talented players and provide aspiring athletes with a chance to showcase their skills and potentially compete in the upcoming WHL season.
Priya Jain, Executive Director of Pavna Industries & Chairperson of Pavna Sports Venture shares that this strategic alliance with Nivia Sports aims to position handball as a leading Olympic sport in India. The partnership will elevate the Women's League and the sport, enhance play quality, inspire young athletes, and foster a premier sport for the next generation of champions.
