Nestle India to Employ 25% Women for New Plant

Popular FMCG company, Nestle India is going to open its new plant in the state of Odhisa where around 6000 people will be employed, out of these 25 per cent women’s participation will be considered. Nestle India has a strong commitment to local manufacturing with ideas of investment of Rs 4,200 crore by 2025. Suresh Narayan, the Chairman and Managing Director of Nestle India announced its tenth Indian plant to be soon opened in Odhisa. He made a statement that this company sees a fairly robust demand for noodles, confectionery, and Nescafe in the coming years throughout the Indian market. In the first half of the current year, around Rs 2,100 crore has been already invested by the company on capital investments and another Rs 4,200 crore will be soon invested between the years 2023-2025 which also includes the new plant in Odhisa of Rs 900 crore.
The Swiss parent company of Nestle SA is providing great support through technological advancements, management, and process capabilities to the company.
MD Suresh Narayan further explained the phases of investment that will be done which include, Odhisa’s new Plant in the first phase which will start with noodles manufacturing, during the second phase, the same plant will be included beverages and coffee manufacturing. In the third and fourth phases, the company will expand its plant in Gujarat where confectionery products will be manufactured. Next expansions will be done in Punjab and Goa for the chocolate factories.
