Neha Rajen Gada Becomes CTC's First Woman President

A milestone in the Chamber's nearly 100-year history, the Chamber of Tax Consultants (CTC) made history at its 99th Annual General Meeting (AGM), electing the first female President in its history: CA Neha Rajen Gada. The members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry were gathered on July 4, 2026 at MCA the Lounge, Wankhede Stadium, Marine Drive, Churchgate, Mumbai for the Annual General Meeting to review the achievements of the Chamber in the last one year, discuss important issues and elect the leadership for the next year.
At the meeting, the new office bearers of the Chamber were announced. The leadership team consists of the President CA Neha Rajen Gada, Vice President CA Mehul Sheth, Honorary Joint Secretary, CA Vitang Shah, Honorary Joint Secretary, CA Viraj Mehta and Honorary Treasurer CA Ankit Sanghavi. The new team will help lead the Chamber as it enters a significant era in its hundred-year history of service to the taxation and accounting profession.
The Annual General Meeting was an important forum for members to engage in the Chamber's governance cycle, provide feedback on the Chamber's activities and share their vision for the year ahead. It also highlighted the organisation's ongoing commitment to transparency, responsible governance, professionalism and engagement with members.
Outgoing President CA Jayant Gokhale thanked the members for their support in the previous eight years and assured them that the incoming leadership would do well.
“I wish the incoming leadership team the best of luck in continuing the Chamber's legacy of excellence, and I would like to express my appreciation to our members, our office bearers and committees for their constant support throughout the year that we have enjoyed meaningful progress and collaboration together," he said.

The appointment of CA Neha Rajen Gada is a historic milestone for the Chamber and marks a fresh era in its leadership role. Her appointment as President marks the Chamber's dedication to diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity and its celebration of a changing profession's aspirations. The historic appointment is also a testament to the rising influence of women in the future of professional institutions and industry bodies.
Continuing her vision, CA Neha Rajen Gada, President of CTC, said, "Now that I am in the office, I would like to share the vision of the organisation”.

Together, with our members, we will continue promoting knowledge, uphold professional excellence, and create meaningful opportunities that empower the professional fraternity."
The 99th Annual General Meeting confirmed the roles of responsible leadership, knowledge sharing and member engagement, which would serve to enhance the professional community of the Association. The Chamber has a new leadership team and will be celebrating its centenary milestone in the near future, and will continue to provide opportunities for learning, collaboration, leadership development and professional excellence and will continue to build on the long standing tradition of its role in taxation, accounting and allied laws.
