Navisite Steminist Scholarship Program in India announced its first ever winners

Navisite Steminist Scholarship Program, a woman supporting the program in India, has announced its inaugural two-ever winners today 9 February 2023. Navisite is a program that aims at closing gender gaps in tech and encourages young women to fulfill their dreams in STEM which are Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Today through this program two women participants have been finalized as the winners. Sonam Khera from Nainital, Uttarakhand, and Sangem Prasanna from Nizamabad, Telangana have been shortlisted as the winners and for their higher education in STEM, each of them will receive an amount of 1,00,000 INR.
Tejal Munagekar, the managing director of Navisite India released a statement that she is honored to announce the first-ever winners of this program. This program is fulfilling the aspirations of women who enter into STEM fields. She is also proud that she has been able to contribute to the growth of deserving women participants.
Navisite is a U.S.-based initiative that started in 2021. After a successful invasion of USD 60,000 scholarships, this program grew its roots in India last year. Navisite offered scholarships to those deserving female participants who are currently pursuing their higher education in STEM full-time.
Winners who have been shortlisted by this program and granted a scholarship are planning to take their careers in software engineering and medicine.
Sonam Khera, pursuing her engineering and computer science studies at Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad wants to become a software engineer.
Sangem Prasanna who is currently in the medical field from Government Medical College, Suryapet, Telangana is planning to take forward her career in neurology.
