India's Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Narayan Tatu Rane, highlighted the importance of women-led MSMEs adopting advanced technology and AI for growth and resilience. Mr. Narayan stated that MSMEs are the backbone of India's economy and their role in achieving the country's 2030 economic ambitions. The Union Minister addressed FICCI Ladies Organizations interactive session on 'Use of technology & AI to foster the growth of women-led MSMEs'.

Mr. Narayan added, that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government prioritizes improving MSMEs' access to financing, information infrastructures, and international markets, focusing on entrepreneurship and startups, and also advancing digital technologies and service models for women-led MSMEs. The aim is to create regulatory, legal, and financial frameworks for entrepreneurship and small firms.

Innovation is crucial for sustaining momentum. However, the dark side of adopting new technologies, including data safeguarding, must be considered. The MSME Ministry is promoting the establishment of MSME support centers by FICCI ladies in various parts of the nation including Pune, emphasizing the importance of innovation and data safeguarding.

Ms. Sudha Shivkumar, National President of the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) aims to equip women with MSME tools, resources, and mentoring through six centers across India, including one in Pune. FLO's MSME Assist provides support to women entrepreneurs, promoting the sector through continuous nurturing, new technologies, and favorable government policies.
