MSD Named Dina Mosallem as Pharma Director for Gulf Region

Dina Mosallem is now appointed as a Business Unit Director, Pharma – Gulf, Libya & Egypt at MSD, where she has been promoted to a larger role, building upon her successful career trajectory and deep expertise in pharmaceuticals. As the new incumbent, she will be responsible for the strategic growth activities, portfolio management, cross functional engagement and market execution across the Gulf countries, Libya and Egypt, setting the stage for superior business performance and access to patients with innovative medicines.
Dina’s extended tenure with MSD — which dates back to over 14 years — serves as another significant milestone in her career. During her career, she has consistently progressed in senior commercial, marketing and strategic roles with distinction, consistently demonstrating the ability to deliver business growth, enhance commercial capabilities and develop high performing teams throughout the region.
Prior to her expanded roles, Dina was the Business Unit Director – Gulf Pharma, GCC PAH, and responsible for the regional pharmaceutical portfolio. She contributed significantly to the development of commercial plans, business performance and collaborated with cross functional teams to achieve business priorities across the gulf markets.

MSD's leadership development at a glance is an ongoing story of professional development for Mosallem. Earlier, she served as GCC Marketing Director – Pharmaceuticals, GCC Marketing Lead – Pharmaceuticals and Associate Director – Strategy Realization Officer GCC. As part of these positions, she developed regional marketing plans, portfolio planning, commercial excellence programs and business transformation initiatives to drive company-wide growth across various therapeutic areas.
Her journey with MSD started from Kuwait, where she was hired as a Professional Sales Representative – Diabetes Line. She has exhibited exemplary performance and leadership and has progressed to become a Senior Professional Sales Representative and subsequently moved to market and regional commercial leadership. Her years of experience have given her a wide range of knowledge in commercial strategy, market access, oncology, portfolio optimisation and regional business development, positioning her as one of the most seasoned pharmaceutical leaders in the Middle East for the company.
