Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu represented India at one of the most well-known annual events hosted by the Indian diaspora in the United States of America - the India Day parade, celebrating the 75 years of India's independence. Harnaaz attended the renowned procession alongside Allu Arjun, a superstar, and his wife, Sneha Reddy. It takes place in New York City every year. Videos posted on social media show Harnaaz engaging in a playful greeting session with the fans, giving speeches, interacting with Allu Arjun, saying Chak De Phatte to her admirers, and much more.

The Miss Universe official page posted various footage of Harnaaz Sandhu during the India Day Parade 2022 on their Instagram stories. Before going to the event, Harnaaz is seen speaking to her admirers in the opening scene. She says, "Sat Sri Akaal, namaste, I am Harnaaz Sandhu, your Miss Universe, and we are all set for the India Day Parade. I am really excited to get started. Stay tuned." Throughout the occasion, the Miss Universe spoke with Allu Arjun, waved the Indian flag, and greeted her supporters.

For the occasion, Harnaaz dressed in a glittering beige saree from the racks of designer Sawan Gandhi's apparel line. The six yards have a scalloped lace border and silver sequined diamantes.

In the meantime, the Miss Universe pageant recently declared that starting in 2023, married women and mothers will be able to compete. In the past, mothers were not allowed to compete in the pageant, and winners had to refrain from getting pregnant while holding the title of Miss Universe.
