- The Millets National Media Portal initiated the drive under the mission "One Millet Meal Every Day for Every Individual"
Hyderabad has initiated a new project focused on health and wellness in the corporate sector. The Millets National Media Portal has unveiled the project in line with the Millets National Media Portal's national mission, "One Millet Meal Every Day for Every Individual."
The program provides corporate workplaces with trained Millet Mothers to supply employees with freshly prepared healthy millet-based lunches.
This project follows the success of the Millet Mothers Project supported by Millets National Media Portal and MBF (Millets – The Best Food).
The project trained 100 Millet Mothers in Hyderabad with more than 20 millet recipes that comply with global standards of taste, nutrition, and quality.
The National Millet Coach Pooja Lakhotia led the training supported by Dr. Monica Sravanti, Dr. Giridhar, and the Millet Mothers Coordinator Mathuri.
The project was officially launched at Essjay Fortune Community Hall, Begumpet, Hyderabad, when Prasanna Srinivasa Sarakadam, Chair of MBF, gave the keynote address.
He noted that the program focuses on employee well-being and additionally women's empowerment and noted that healthy eating plays an essential role in supporting productivity of employees and their overall well-being.
The Millet Lunch Program is accessible for small, medium, and large companies in Hyderabad to partner with its meal program. Partner organizations can provide employees with meals made from freshly prepared millets by trained Millet Mothers.
The meals are aimed at improving both physical and mental wellbeing, and encouraging healthy food choices in the workplace.
Through this initiative, MBF hopes to promote a healthier lifestyle and strengthen local communities through women's livelihood opportunity. Corporates can register to receive corporate lunch boxes made from millets using a clean kitchen.
This initiative captures the growing interest in eating for health and nutrition as a part of their corporate social responsibility and places Hyderabad in the position of a leader in the workplace wellness ecosystem by linking nutrition, empowerment, and sustainability.
