Synapsica, a health-tech firm, has received a $4.2 million investment from IvyCap Ventures and others. Synapsica Healthcare, based in Delhi, recently raised $4.2 million in a Series A round led by IvyCap Ventures and Endiya Partners. The funding round was also attended by Y Combinator, a Silicon Valley-based incubator, and other angel investors.
Meenakshi Singh(CEO), Dr. Cherian, and Kuldeep Singh Chauhan founded Synapsica with the goal of improving radiology report quality while making it easier for doctors to create them. According to the company, the new capital will be used for international expansion and to expand the suite of AI features that assist radiologists and spine specialists in creating patient reports quickly, or even in real-time at the point of care.
The company uses NLP, computer vision, and deep learning-based software products to aid diagnosis in X-Ray, CT, and MRI scans. Its machine learning automation enables workflow management at Diagnostic Centers, improving the efficiency of stakeholder coordination, disease interpretation, and report generation.“We are obsessed with radiologists' experience on our platform, and direct our research and tech development to create the best possible environment for clinical diagnosis. This means taking away all mundane tasks - button clicks, measurements, repetitive diagnosis - and giving back time to focus on the patient,” said Meenakshi, CEO, Synapsica Healthcare.
Synapsica's Radiolens platform claims to enable radiologists and clinicians to create reports with illustrations and objective evidence of disease, bringing transparency to the community and thus better patient care. Radiolens includes a number of AI-based algorithms that assist radiologists in describing the precise location and extent of spine-related pathologies.
Synapsica claims to have the trust of 250+ doctors across 500+ hospitals and diagnostic centres, with more partners being added on a daily basis, all with the goal of improving Radiology reporting.
Synapsica's AI tools aid in the creation of patient reports in a timely manner. Vikram Gupta, Founder and Managing Partner, added, "Our investment in the company is aimed at assisting them in their expansion and growth."
