The Indian women's cricket team's Five-match T20I series against Bangladesh is all set to begin on 28 April 2024 and conclude on 9 May 2024. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has published the match schedule for the 5-day match tour that will be organized in Sylhet, Bangladesh at the main Slyhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS). The tournament will witness a day-night competition for three of the five matches. The final two games will be day matches at a specific outdoor location.
In the last two years, Harmanpreet Kaur led the team toured Bangladesh twice. The 'Women in Blue' defeated Bangladesh 2-1 in a 20-over match last year. This year's T20I match will be a kickstart for the T20 World Cup which is estimated to take place in Bangladesh in September or October.
India and Bangladesh are in the top ten in women's T20I rankings with third and ninth positions respectively. India qualified for the semi-finals but lost to Australia in the finals of the T20 World Cup 2023. India qualified for this year's World Cup whereas Bangladesh directly qualified as the host team for the upcoming event.
