Manulife Appoints Bonnie Qiu CEO of Global High-Net-Worth Unit

Manulife has appointed two new leaders as part of their efforts to expand their Global High-Net-Worth (GHNW) business in Asia and develop their distribution channels in Asia.

Bonnie Qiu, who has been appointed as CEO of Global High-Net-Worth and Head of Partnership Distribution for Asia, will start in her new role on December 1st.

Bonnie will be responsible for the strategic growth of the HNW Business in Asia, focusing primarily on life insurance products, while continuing to oversee all aspects of distribution through banks and brokerages, as well as digital channels.

Bonnie replaces Jean Wong, who was responsible for launching the GHNW business in 2023, where she played an instrumental role in expanding Manulife into the Middle East with the opening of their Dubai office.

Mahalakshmi Srivastava has also joined Manulife Asia's executive leadership. Rishi Srivastava previously served as Chief Agency Officer for Manulife and contributed greatly to advancing the Agency Transformation Strategy with an emphasis on training, quality recruitment, developing agency leaders, and using technology to improve productivity in the agency distribution channel.
