The FIFA U-17 women's world cup line-up for India 2022 has been finalised, with Morocco, Nigeria, and Tanzania winning the final three berths in the showcase tournament.

This is a huge step forward in India's quest to organize its first-ever FIFA women's tournament.

On June 24, the names of the three nations from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will be put into the pot for the Official Draw. The hosts, India, China, the People's Republic of China, Japan, New Zealand, the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Spain, and France, will also be introduced to their opponents during the ceremony in Zurich.

Tanzania and Morocco will make their respective debuts at the global youth event, which will be a watershed moment for both country.

Nigeria, on the other hand, is a tournament regular, having reached every U-17 final except one in the last six years.

With a comfortable 5-1 aggregate victory over Cameroon, Tanzania became the first East African country to reach the finals of the prestigious competition. On Sunday at Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar, they defeated Cameroon 1-0 in the second leg of the qualification event, with Neema Paul scoring the game's only goal.

Morocco, meanwhile, won on penalties against Ghana on Saturday to secure the deal after both teams won their home games to square the tally at 2-2 on aggregate. Despite being held to a goalless draw by Ethiopia, Nigeria's Flamingos advanced to the October finals, having won the reverse encounter 1-0.

India 2022 will host the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, which will begin on October 11 and end on October 30.
