  • Shilpa Mishra has been named the Foundation's new Executive Director

Shilpa Mishra has been named the new Executive Director of Ketto Foundation, the strategic philanthropic and corporate social responsibility division of Ketto.org. Shilpa brings extensive experience in strategic fundraising, institution building, and coordinating philanthropy with civic goals and community needs, having worked for more than 14 years in some of India's top non-profits and philanthropic organizations.

She will lead the Foundation's next stage of expansion in her new position, which will concentrate on increasing the use of direct CSR, developing workplace giving models, and bolstering community-based systems based on impact, empathy, and equity.

As she shared her vision, Shilpa stressed that philanthropy is about changing human connection, systems, and mindsets, not just the flow of money. She explained that the goal of the Ketto Foundation is to create transparent, long-term models that promote trust, meaningful partnerships, and community-led change.

The foundation of this mission is dignity, equity, and co-creation. She wants to make sure that every project has a purpose and creates long-term benefits for institutions and grassroots communities alike. Shilpa worked with organizations like Avasara Academy, Tata Strive, and The Akanksha Foundation in addition to holding leadership positions at Bhumi, GiveIndia, and Make a difference prior to joining Ketto Foundation.

Through CSR and institutional partnerships, she has raised over ₹150 crore over her career, directly influencing over a million lives and creating scalable, legal philanthropic frameworks. "We're not just building campaigns—we're creating infrastructure for generosity and pathways between empathy and action," said Varun Sheth, co-founder of Ketto.org, in response to her appointment.

Scaling inclusive, accountable CSR initiatives will be greatly aided by Shilpa's capacity to match institutional priorities with community needs. Under her direction, the Foundation has set a lofty objective: by 2035, it hopes to assist one million families in ending the cycle of poverty by bridging the gap between corporate purpose and significant community change.
