Kashi's Women Ecstatic to have Names added to electoral roll

During the recently completed voter list amendment procedure, the women of Kashi showed great enthusiasm in having their names added to the electoral record. There are 42,101 women among the newly added 76,433 voters, while the number of males added to the voter list remains at 34,301.
The district election officer, Kaushal Raj Sharma, said he is busy preparing for the assembly election slated for the district's final phase on March 7. He said, “after the revised voter list was released by December end, the total number of voters in the district reached to 30,29,215 including 16,53,170 men, 13,75,860 women and 185 third gender voters. During the revision process 94,728 names were added while 18,295 names were deleted.”
He underlined, “in total, 76,433 voters were added to the elector roll of eight assembly areas of the district in which 34,301 are men, 42,101 women and 31 are of third gende.” According to the amended list, there are 9,415 voters in the Pindra assembly region, with 3,905 males, 5,509 women, and one third gender voter. In the Azgara assembly region, a total of 10,071 voters were added to the list, including 4,161 males, 5,909 women, and one third gender voter.
There are 9,407 new names on the Shivpur assembly seat voter list, comprising 4,169 males, 5,232 women, and six third gender voters. There were 5,066 voters in Rohaniya, with 1,822 males, 3,242 women, and two third gender voters. In the City North assembly region, 14,195 names were added, comprising 6,873 males, 7,320 women, and two of the third gender. There were 11,812 names on the City South assembly regions list, with 5,609 males, 6,188 women, and 15 of the third gender.
In the Varanasi Cantonment assembly area, a total of 13,126 voters were added, comprising 6,629 males, 6,495 women, and two third-gender voters, while the Sevapuri assembly seats elector register rose by 3,341, including 1,133 men, 2,206 women, and two third-gender voters.
After 24,491 voters were added to the amended list in the 18-19 age group category, the total number of electors in this age group category increased to 34,550. The number of Divyang voters in the district has increased to 26,415, with 7,399 new names added. The district includes 36,659 voters between the ages of 80 and 89, 5,703 voters between the ages of 90 and 99, and 401 votes aged 100 and higher.
