The Jharkhand Readymade Garment and Apparel (JRGA) Foundation hosted a three-day event to provide women entrepreneurs and opportunity to engage with key institutions such as MSME, NABARD, and leaders from the textile industry.
The three-day festival hosted by the JRGA Foundation features more than 35 stalls of clothing, jewelry, and apparel designed by women entrepreneurship units, with traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.
On the inaugural day, MSME deputy director Surender Sharma highlighted their function of providing support to start-ups. "Special subsidies to entrepreneurs are offered, and online registration of Udyam certificate can be done, making access to govt benefits easy. There are multiple schemes to provide support to start-ups," he said.
NABARD assistant general manager Neetu Kumari talked about their efforts in backing textile-based businesses. "Targeted financing, capacity development, and sustainable development schemes in the textile industry are empowering entrepreneurs," she added.
JRGA president Abhitabh Srivastava stated, "This platform empowers women entrepreneurs by allowing dialogue with policymakers and institutional leaders, enabling collaborations, and facilitating knowledge-sharing. With workshops, panel discussions, and exhibitions, we want to open up new growth opportunities in the textile sector."
The event brings the principal stakeholders together to promote support to the textile sector and women entrepreneurship in Jharkhand. It provides a necessary platform for knowledge sharing, business development, and networking with a solemn focus on empowerment of women entrepreneurs.
