J&K Women Athletes bagged Medals at Khelo India Wushu Senior Women's League Championship

Jammu and Kashmir's athletes, Ansa Chisti, Ayeera Chisti, and Riya Chib, won gold and bronze medals respectively at the Khelo India Wushu Senior Women's League Championship in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Their achievements showcased the Union Territory's growing talent in women's sports. The winners received Rs 20,000 each and Rs 10,000 respectively. Officials congratulated the winners and assured continued support for their success.
Ansa Chisti won gold in the 52 kg category, while Ayeera Chisti and Riya Chib won bronze in the 65 kg category. The three champions qualified for the Khelo India Zonal League Wushu Championship held in Patiala. Ayeera Chisti, a silver medalist in the National Games, suffered a minor foot injury during her bout, while Ansa Chisti won the gold medal in the 56 kg category.
The Sports Council Secretary, Nuzhat Gul, congratulated medallists and assured women athletes of the best facilities. Wushu Association Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Dronacharya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo praised MYAS for boosting women's sports across the country.
The Khelo India Wushu Senior Women's League Championship 2025 was held from 20 March to 23 March 2025 in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. It showcased the talent of women athletes, promoting sports and women's prominence in sports. Participants in various weight categories competed in the event. The Khelo India initiative promotes sports and women's prominence, with officials supporting young athletes and encouraging continued support for national and international success.
