Jharkhand CM hands Appointment letters to 16 Teachers

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday issued appointment letters to the newly appointed Anganwadi supervisors and assistant teachers of intermediate and graduate training courses at a ceremony attended at the Jharkhand Ministry.

The Chief Minister presented appointment letters to 160 teachers to teach Classes 1 to 5, 156 teachers to teach Classes 6 to 8 and 17 Anganwadi supervisors.

Addressing the gathering, Hemant Soren said that these appointments are a huge step towards strengthening the education system of the state and provide job opportunities to the youth.

He exhorted the newly appointed staff to provide their services to the government at the grassroots level with dedication.

“This is not just a job. Through you, the government wants to reach every village, every household and every individual, especially women and children,” the Chief Minister said.

He further added that the tribal, Dalit and backward communities of Jharkhand never got development for years and emphasized on inclusive growth.

The Chief Minister stated that the state government is dedicated to enhancing the quality of education through various measures, such as CM School of Excellence.

He pointed out that there are actions underway to improve educational facilities and overcome the legacy of weaknesses in the school system.

Soren emphasized that teachers who are posted to remote areas should do so with commitment, rather than being hesitant to serve in difficult areas.

“Children in remote areas are like raw clay. It is your responsibility to shape their future,” he said.

More than 9,000 appointments have been made in the education department in the last four months, the government has been conducting its recruitment process in a transparent manner, the Chief Minister said.

He said more than 16,000 youths have been provided with jobs in the past two years, and from the previous two governments, 2 lakh jobs were provided in government, contractual and private sectors.

He compared Jharkhand's recruitment with the paper leak incidents in various other states.

Hemant Soren also spoke about the effect of ‘Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana’ through which almost 6 crore women in the state are getting financial assistance every month.

“It is encouraging to see daughters benefiting from the scheme reaching positions like Collector,” he said.

He expressed satisfaction that daughters are benefiting from the scheme and had made their way up to positions such as Collector.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the involvement of women was imperative for the overall development of the state and added that society should play its role to help women come forward.

This was attended by Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, Labour, Employment and Training Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Avinash Kumar, Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department, Uma Shankar Singh and other senior officers along with freshers and their family members.
