Isha Ambani hosted Queen Rania of Jordan at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai on February 14.
Queen Rania was the guest of honor at a roundtable discussion titled “Celebration of Women Leadership in India,” which celebrated the “transformational impact of women leaders in India and how to reframe the future of business, fashion, and social impact in the country.”
The event was attended by prominent personalities like Karisma Kapoor, Navya Naveli Nanda, and Masaba Gupta, who expressed their views on the “role of women in the film industry and business.”
Jordan's Queen Rania al-Abdullah, born in Kuwait on August 31st, 1970, is King Abdullah II's wife. She became Queen when he became King in 1999 after the death of his father, King Hussein.
While visiting India, she spoke about the importance of humility in leadership at the ET Now Global Business Summit in New Delhi. Her speech focused on the idea that real leaders do not act quickly but instead ask good questions, listen, and provide good guidance for making responsible progress.
She used examples from India and the Global South to demonstrate how humility creates resilient systems which emphasize long-term impacts, inclusivity, and human dignity rather than quick fixes.
In addition to her speech in New Delhi, Queen Rania also traveled to Mumbai where she toured the Chanakya School of Craft and participated in a roundtable discussion at the NMACC.
