- ISC Group introduces an invitation-only membership program called “The Circle of Influence"
- Designed for non-executive directors (NEDs), board members, and senior female leaders in the insurance industry
- Seek to increase boardroom influence, foster collaboration, and hasten significant industry change
ISC Group has introduced "The Circle of Influence," a new, invitation-only membership program for senior women insurance leaders, board members, and non-executive directors (NEDs). As a standalone network committed to supporting women in insurance, ISC Group seeks to promote collaboration, improve boardroom influence, and bring about meaningful change in the sector through this elite program.
The formal launch was held at Odgers' London premises and was attended by the major decision-makers from the finance services sector. Guests included representatives from the recently established ISC Peer Advisory Committee, along with major partners like Odgers, The NED, JP Morgan, and GreenKite.
Participants in The Circle of Influence will enjoy facilitated entry to experienced-led workshops, strategic mentorship, selected experiences, and exclusive forum space for the exchange of ideas and pragmatic solutions. ISC Group CEO Carmen Powell referred to the program as a force for senior women to network, lead, and build the future of the insurance sector. Odgers' Alison Cannon also felt the same, referring to it as a big step toward creating a deeper, more diverse leadership network.
The move comes against a backdrop of increasing moves to empower women across the UK insurance sector, particularly around events such as International Women's Day. Leaders in the industry—and among them, Markel—have talked up eliminating systemically embedded barriers, while Powell has promoted the IWD theme #AccelerateAction, with an urgent call for practical measures to unlock opportunities for women across all career stages.
With a membership network of more than 10,000 and 100 corporate members, ISC Group continues to strive toward creating a more diverse and inclusive insurance industry.
