DLabs of the Indian School of Business (ISB), under partnership with the HCL Foundation, has introduced DiscoverShe in Bengaluru with its inaugural two-day bootcamp.
The programme is looking to empower 400 women micro-entrepreneurs from peri-urban and urban India through MSME digitisation and capacity-building efforts.
The program offers city-level bootcamps with practical training in creating digital storefronts, e-commerce, financial and digital literacy, microfinance access, skill development, mentorship, and preparation of extensive project reports (DPRs), followed by three months of post-financing mentoring.
With this multi-faceted scheme, DiscoverShe will support women entrepreneurs from various sectors like artisans and craft persons, agri-business and allied industries, contemporary micro-enterprises, service sector enterprises, and home-based enterprises, enabling them to venture out into possibilities of growth and further capacity building.
DLabs CEO and ISB I-Venture Director Saumya Kumar said the programme is to enable women micro-entrepreneurs to make impactful change and drive socio-economic change.
Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, HCL Foundation Senior Vice President–Global CSR, observed that the program specializes in imparting business and digital knowledge to equip participants, with the facility for incubation support, market access, finance, and mentorship so that women entrepreneurship thrives.
The DiscoverShe program will comprise 10 bootcamps, DPR mentoring, grand finale, and incubation at DLabs. Focused cities are Bengaluru, Madurai, Hyderabad, and Mohali, where women-owned micro-enterprises will be equipped with tools to develop resilience and grow sustainably.
