Indian Women's Hockey Team thrashes Thailand 5-4 in World Cup Qualifier

India made a consecutive win in their third match during the Women's Asian Hockey 5s World Cup qualifier against Thailand to maintain their perfect record. The goal scorers for India were Captain Navjot Kaur, Monika Dipi Toppo, Mahima Choudhary, and Ajmina Kujur. Japan has been defeated with 7-1 on Saturday by team India.
Piresram Anongnat (3rd), Aunjai Natthakarn (10th, 14th), and Suwapat Konthong (19th) scored Thailand's goals.
During their second game of the tournament, the Indian women defeated Japan with 7-1 on Saturday. In addition to this, on Friday, India scored their first victory against Malaysia by 7-2.
In the first minute of the match, India achieved a goal with Skipper Navjot followed by Monika. Two minutes later, Thailand scored again through captain Anongnat.
Soon after, Monika scored her second goal with a final score of 3-1 in India's favor.
Natthakarn's goal gave Thailand a chance to get back into the match with five minutes left in the first half.
Thailand equalized the score with a minute left in the first half.
India dominated the match during the second half. Mahima took the next goal making a tie again. With five minutes remaining, India began to play with urgency to take the lead. Next, Kujur scored the game-winning goal with just one minute left to end the match.
