India's women's football team suffered a 1-0 loss against Uzbekistan in their second FIFA Women's International Friendly at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, Bangalore. Nilufar Kudratova's stunning strike in the second half secured the win for Uzbekistan, despite India's improved intensity and tactical discipline. Despite several chances, India's final pass lacked the sharpness needed to equalize, and Uzbekistan ultimately defeated the Blue Tigresses.

India started the match with a strong defense, despite Uzbekistan's attack, and goalkeeper Payal Basude made crucial saves in the first half, however, Nozimakhon Ergasheva scored a thunderous strike in the 11th minute.

India displayed improved midfield performance, using the pitch's width to stretch the Uzbek defence. Sangita Basfore and Ranjana Chanu contributed to deep attacks. India's best chance came in the 21st minute, but Uzbekistan's goalkeeper saved Sangita's direct shot on target.

Soon after, India missed an opportunity in the second half, Uzbekistan scored a left-footed strike by Kudratova into the top corner. Despite the setback, India regrouped and continued to push forward, but the final pass often lacked the necessary sharpness.

The FIFA Women's International Friendly tournament 2025 is a series of non-competitive matches aimed at helping national teams prepare for major tournaments like UEFA Women's Euro 2025, Copa América Femenina, and AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers, allowing teams to test strategies, integrate new players, and gain international experience.
