As a result, all Indian women remain in contention for medals and continue to perform consistently at the continental level.

Minakshi will meet Thailand’s Thipsatcha Yodwaree, while Jaismine will face Uzbek Olympian Nigina Uktamova.

With these wins, both winners earned medals and will now move into their respective semifinals. There are still many more rounds remaining for India in this tournament, as India is still playing in both categories in this championship.

In the men’s category, Lokesh (85kg) qualified with a convincing score of 5-0 against Gichae Kim of Korea. Akash qualified with a 5-0 scoreline against Yhlas Bagtyyarov of Turkmenistan, while Harsh Choudhary qualified with his victory over Tynystan Alybaev of the Kyrgyz Republic.
