Indian women boxers presented best-ever performance Bagging 4 Golds at IBA Women's World Boxing Championship

At the IBA Women's World Boxing Championship, Indian female boxers recreated history. By giving a splendid performance they bagged 4 Gold medals for the country. India stood at the first position in the championship for securing the highest 4 gold medals at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi.
The Indian female boxers who have been presented with the gold medals are, Nitu Ghanghas (48kg), Nikhat Zareen (50kg), Lovlina Borgohain (75kg), and Saweety Boora (81kg). They all are champions in different levels of different boxing matches.
Nitu Ghanghas a medallist of the Commonwealth Games 2022 defeated Wang Lina of China. Nikhat Zareen holds the record of being 2 times World Champion and grabbed the second gold this year by winning against Nguyem Thi Tam of Vietnam. Meanwhile, Lovlina Borgohain a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics defeated Australian Caitlin Parkar and Saweety Boora a three-time Asian medallist won her gold medal against Lutsaikhan Altantsetseg of Mongolia.
The competition was categorized into 12 different weight divisions in which 324 boxers including several Olympic medalists from 65 different nations participated.
Each boxer received $100,000 (INR 82.7 lakhs) as prize money for winning the title of World Champion in their various categories.
