India to face Thailand in opening match of Upcoming Women's Asian Champions Trophy

The Hockey India has released the schedule for the upcoming Asian Champions Trophy where the Indian women's team will face Thailand on 27 October.
The first match of the tournament will feature Malaysia and Japan at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh ASTRO Turf Hockey Stadium. India will face off against Thailand in the third match of the first day.
Korea, China, Malaysia, Japan, India, and Thailand will compete for the Asian Champions Trophy. On 5 November 2023, the tournament will end.
On November 2, the last match India will play against Korea in the group stage of the tournament.
According to Dilip Tirkey, President of Hockey India, they are proud to host another major Asian tournament and hope that the women's Asian Champions Trophy will be a great tournament. The announcement of the schedule signals the start of the finals stages before the tournament.
Four of the top teams will advance to the semifinals. The top-ranked teams will face off against the fourth-placed team. Teams that finished the second and third will play against other teams in the semifinals.
