In the third tour game against Australian counterparts on 21st May, Deep Grace Ekka's goal off a penalty corner enabled the Indian women's hockey team to recover from behind to play out a 1-1 draw.

After Maddison Brooks gave the hosts the lead (25'), Deep Grace for India equalized the score for the visitors. Australia won the three-match series 2-0 as a consequence of the outcome.

India maintained possession during the opening period of play and executed some quality passes. When Australia possessed the ball, the ladies in blue used a pressing game to get it back and also won two penalty corners.

Both teams had opportunities to score in the early period, but no team was able to take advantage of them. On the other hand, the hosts often put India's defenders to the test and even won a penalty corner.

India's players displayed excellent ball control and played an attacking style of football in the second quarter, but Australia took the lead when Maddison (25') converted a field goal after receiving a pass through a swiftly executed free hit. Maddison then put the ball past India's goalkeeper and captain Savita Punia while standing free at the far post. With a 1-0 advantage at the interval, the home team.

India took control of the game's speed to start the third quarter to get an equalizer, and it paid off when defender Deep Grace Ekka (42') converted a penalty corner to tie the score. The visitors persisted in testing Australia's defence as it sought to gain an advantage, but the third period finished with the score equal at one goal apiece.

In the fourth quarter, Australia came out swinging but India's defence held firm and prevented the hosts from gaining the lead. Attackers for the visiting team also created a few decent chances and were close to scoring several times, but they were unable to score as the game finished in a 1-1 stalemate.
