The India Smart City Conclave in Indore will be held today where President Draupadi Murmu will present the India Smart Award 2022 to a number of national cities. The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has been holding this event since 2018 as a part of its Smart City Mission. In attendance at this conclave, representatives from each of the 100 Smart cities will mark their presence.
President Murmu will begin her long-day visit to Madhya Pradesh today where she will take part in a number of events that will take place in Indore and Jabalpur.
The aim of this unique Smart City Award is to support urban innovation and offer a venue for their exemplary work. At the IITDM Auditorium in Jabalpur, the President will also lay the cornerstone for the new Madhya Pradesh High Court building.
