India's Junior Women's Team wins Bronze in the ISSF World Championships in the 25meter Pistol Event

In the women's 25m pistol team junior competition held, India's ISSF World Championship campaign got off to a bronze-winning start. In the bronze medal match, the Indian team of Vibhuti Bhatia, Esha Singh, and Naamya Kapoor destroyed Germany 17-1 to earn India its first medal of the game.
Esha, Naamya, and Vibhuti earned a score of 856 in the first round of qualification to place third and go to the next round. They shot 437 in the following round to place fourth, behind the Germans, and earn a spot in the bronze medal game. Korea took home the silver medal, and China took home the gold.
In the women's 50m rifle prone junior competition, Nishchal fired 616.9 and Nupur Kumrawat 606.6 to place eighth and 34th, respectively. Surya Pratap Singh (608.7), Pankaj Mukheja (608.5), Harsh Singla (606.0), and Adriyan Karmakar (603.7) all placed in the top twenty in the comparable junior men's competition.
Two Indian pairs qualified for the second round of the 50m rifle prone mixed team competition by placing in the top eight of the 17-team first qualification round. Nupur Kumrawat and Pankaj Mukheja shot a total score of 612.4 to place seventh, while Surya Pratap Singh and Nishchal shot 619.1 to take second place in the stage.
