As a part of Women of 7 Global Regions' (W7) initiative FLO in association with Fundacion Chilena del Pacifico & Mujeres del Pacifico has organized a webinar on to discuss “India & Chile: Opportunities for Business Collaborations between Women Entrepreneurs”.

In an interactive session with FICCI FLO, H.E. Anita Nayar, IFS, Ambassador of India to Chile states, “Women need to come together and help each other, using their strengths and capabilities towards the betterment of society. This can be achieved through forums like ours, where women entrepreneurs from both countries come together to partner and co-develop projects."

She further added, “Chile has agreed to join the International Solar Alliance a joint initiative by India & France and has also agreed to join the coalition for disaster relief infrastructure. We are also exploring opportunities for further cooperation with India, especially towards disability inclusion in the health sector with access to healthcare facilities and integration into society”.

H.E. Juan Angulo, Ambassador of Chile to India states, “There is a potential in terms of business between India & Chile, we commit all our support towards joint projects”.

Jahnabi Phookan, President, FICCI FLO said “India and Chile share a warm, friendly relationship that is characterized by a commonality of views on a wide range of issues; Chile shares India’s concern over the threat of International terrorism & regularly condemns the acts of the cross-border terrorism that India has suffered”

She adds, “One of the factors on which country’s economy depends is human capital & if you fail to provide women with adequate access to healthcare, education & employment you lose at least half of the nation’s true potential to grow. So, gender equality & women empowerment can bring huge economic development.”
