Latha Nair, Vice President and Head of Service Delivery at IBS Software, has been named Woman Icon of the Year by UBS Forums, a Maharashtra-based professional think-tank that aspires to establish and provide transformational leadership for individuals and business.
According to a press release, the award was presented at the 3rd Women Empowerment Summit and GIWL Awards 2022, which took place at the Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
The award honours “the distinct achievements of a woman leader who has been an Icon of inspiration and a mentor to all other women staff of the organisation.”
IBS Software was founded in 1997, and Latha was among the initial 55 employees. Latha, an engineering graduate, is now one of the company's most senior workers, heading a team of 700 professionals in the delivery of major and difficult IT projects for the travel industry around the world. Latha is also the Director of the IBS Software Trivandrum Centre.
