The Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) has undertaken an innovative endeavour by erecting an iconic building at the Mindspace Circle in this city. "Statue of Empowerment & Glory" is a 20-foot renowned artwork.
Sangeetha Reddy, Apollo Hospitals' Joint MD, will formally present it. Pinky Reddy will be a distinguished guest at a function in the Westin Hotel's Raheja Mindspace on March 21. The artwork is being installed by the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) to commemorate 75 years of freedom for women. The 'empowerment and glory' statue are meant to honour female courage, sacrifice, and altruism.
YFLO Hyderabad's chairperson, Deepti Reddy, stated, “It denotes women's power, strength and glory and celebrates 75 years of Indian independence. She has taken the initiative of creative installation. It is made by renowned artist Avijit Dutta from Kolkata. It will remain forever in the city. It depicts the hard work of every woman in society and helps them empower themselves and lead most successful and honourable life.”
She added, “We got in touch with Avijit Dutta with the help of our past chairperson Rekha Lahoti. The medium used for this art installation is one tonne of solid iron. Some 15 people worked on it for eight months. It is an installation with a unique cause, purpose —empowerment, women power, strength.”
