HSBC Singapore Appoints Two Leaders to Support China Business

- HSBC Singapore has announced the appointment of Ying Wang and Irene Zeng
- Ying Wang has been appointed as the Head of Distribution, International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB)
To enhance its value proposition across the Asia region, HSBC Singapore has chosen to appoint Ying Wang and Irene Zeng to senior positions.
Ying is now Head of Distribution for International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB), effective from 26 February 2026. Before this, she was working as Head of Wealth and Premier Solutions at HSBC China.
As Head of Distribution, she will manage the Distribution Channels of the International Wealth Hub, Direct Sales and Contact Centre. She will also be responsible for creating and scaling omni-channel distribution strategies.
Besides being experienced in delivering wealth management and product development solutions to clients through acquiring new customers and using digital channels, Wang has over 20 years' experience in the financial services market in both Singapore and China.
Irene is to be appointed as Managing Director & Head of Business Development for the China Corridor within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), effective March 1, 2026.
The purpose of this newly created position is to create a better service offering for companies based in China regarding their cross-border requirements as they look to enter Singapore and the wider ASEAN region.
Irene had previously worked at HSBC since 2007 and prior to the new role was the Head of Global Payments Solutions for HSBC China.
In addition, she has 25 years of experience in corporate and transaction banking and has held a number of senior management positions during her time at both HSBC and its subsidiaries.
