Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women is offering established women entrepreneurs in India an opportunity to strengthen their business skills, develop growth strategies and build professional networks through a fully funded executive education program.

Launched globally in 2008, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women supports women entrepreneurs through practical business education, mentoring and access to a global community of business leaders. The initiative has reached more than 320,000 women across over 150 countries.

In India, the program is delivered in partnership with three leading management institutions — the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and IIM Lucknow. The program is designed for women entrepreneurs who are ready to expand their businesses and take on new growth opportunities.

The India program offers over 100 hours of learning in a 3-month intensive executive education course. The participants attend the residential learning modules, learn from industry mentors and have peer discussions with the other women entrepreneurs.

The emphasis of the curriculum is on hands-on business skills that can be transferred directly to entrepreneurs' businesses. These areas of focus include financial management, marketing, leadership, business strategy, innovation, operational improvement and building high performing teams.

Key Highlights:

  • The program offers 100+ hours of fully funded business education, mentorship and networking
  • It is designed for established women entrepreneurs who meet the eligibility criteria
  • The curriculum focuses on business growth, leadership, finance, marketing and strategy

The program consists of three modules of residential learning that address various aspects of business development. Foundations for Growth are the first module that emphasizes building the capabilities needed for sustainable business growth.

The second, Building Resilience in a Changing World, looks at how companies can adapt to new economic and market realities. Leading for Success is the third module, which is about leadership and building organizations for sustainable growth.

Selected participants pay no tuition fees – all costs covered by Goldman Sachs. During the Program, however, travel, accommodation and other related costs are at the responsibility of the entrepreneur.

There are certain eligibility criteria to be met by the applicants. They are required to be the owner or co-owner of a business and be the main decision maker. They would have to have been in business for at least one year, and have a turnover of over ₹30 lakh per year, and a minimum of three persons working with them. Educated women at the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women program are not allowed to re-apply.

The program is open to women entrepreneurs from all industries because it offers a general curriculum in the business skills that are applicable to all industries. The next cohort is scheduled to begin in August 2026, and applications are accepted until that time as well as interviews and final decisions are scheduled for the month of August. The new class will start in September.

Entrepreneurs who are interested can begin the application process by filling the Expression of Interest form. If you are unable to attend the residential program a free online Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women curriculum is available for women through Coursera.

The program will equip women business owners with tools for making better strategic business decisions, growing their businesses, generating employment opportunities and helping to grow the economy through a combination of formal management education, mentorship and peer networking. The program offers valuable insights and tools for current business owners looking to scale and expand their ventures.
