Geetanjali Jain Joins JioStar as Director of Sports Marketing

Geetanjali Jain has joined JioStar as Director – Sports Marketing, taking on a new leadership role after a career spanning brand management, digital marketing, e-commerce, fitness technology and consulting. Jain announced her appointment on LinkedIn, expressing excitement about joining JioStar’s Sports Marketing team and contributing to its consumer-first marketing approach.
Geethanjali said she was looking for her next challenge after taking a career break and pursuing an entrepreneurial venture. She chose JioStar for its scale, speed and focus on building a strong consumer-centric culture. She added that her initial months with the company have been marked by learning, new opportunities and exposure to the organization’s agile working environment.
Before joining JioStar, Geethanjali spent around two and a half years with Procter & Gamble as Senior Brand Manager. During her tenure, she worked on Oral-B’s manual toothbrush portfolio in India, handling product, communication and packaging initiatives. She also led the Criss Cross portfolio revamp and new launches across modern retail. Her role additionally included driving growth for P&G’s digital beauty platforms through search and display marketing.

Geethanjali also spent almost three years at Nykaa Fashion where she led retention marketing. Her efforts were instrumental in enhancing the customer relationship management revenue contribution by 200%, and the three-month and six-month repeat rates by 33% and 38% respectively. She also managed to cut 40% of burn per order and boosted order values by implementing a tiered coupon strategy.
Geethanjali has worked in the past with Cure.fit and Google, and has experience in the growth, consumer businesses and digital advertising space. Her role at Cure.fit was as a Growth Manager, and she assisted in launching a multi-brand grocery platform. At Google, she served as a Programmatic Account Strategist, handling a portfolio of business over $20 million dollars per year.
Geethanjali is an MBA graduate of Indian School of Business (ISB) and was a leader of the Marketing club at ISB and was also a torchBearer.
Her role at JioStar allows her to combine her expertise in brand building, performance marketing, consumer engagement and business growth. As part of her new job, Jain will be a part of the team that will further support JioStar's sports marketing efforts and bridge the gap between the audience and its vast sports portfolio. She is especially looking forward to her role in making India a united nation via sports, she added.
