GC Angels join Fund Her North as a delivery partner for the North East to Support Female Entrepreneurs

In order to deliver Fund Her North activities across the North West, one of Greater Manchester's top early-stage equity investors, GC Angels, has announced a partnership with Northinvest. This partnership shows the company's commitment to bringing about a change in the Northern investment environment.
This dedication to supporting female-led innovation and hastening economic transformation will be evidenced by investment, expertise, and collaboration.
The Investing in Women Code has already been signed by GC Angles, and the company is reaffirming its commitment by putting Fund Her North initiatives into practice. The North West network of GC Angels will now be extended to Cumbria, Merseyside, Cheshire, and Lancashire in order to guarantee that every woman founder has access to funding and support.
According to a recent study by the British Business Bank's Small Business Equity Tracker, only 2 per cent of UK funding goes to teams that are entirely made up of women. In contrast, GC Angels has invested 25 per cent of its total funds in female-founded teams since its founding in 2018.
By assisting nearly 500 business owners and helping to close 14 funding rounds, Fund Her North has provided female-founded businesses with up to £4.5 million in funding. Fund Her North has also held its next event in Manchester on August 17 in conjunction with NatWest, with assistance from the UK British Angels Association.
