Flipkart partners with NRLM to Empower Rural Women Entrepreneurs in Haryana

India's homegrown e-commerce marketplace, Flipkart has partnered with the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) to empower rural women entrepreneurs in Haryana through an orientation workshop. Over 70 participants, including women entrepreneurs, SHGs, and micro-enterprises, gained insights into product listing, logistics, and strategic business growth. The partnership is part of Flipkart's Samarth program to empower underserved communities to build sustainable livelihoods.
The event was graced by Krishan Pal Gurjar, Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Power, Mr. Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart Group, and other dignitaries. They emphasized the commitment to expand digital inclusivity across India and create economic opportunities for rural women in Haryana. The collaboration aims to boost rural Haryana women's economic opportunities by fostering a new generation of entrepreneurs using technology to improve their livelihoods.
Mr Rajneesh Kumar addressed the event and mentioned "The premise of the Samarth program is to bridge the gap for underserved communities, empowering them to build sustainable livelihoods by leveraging e-commerce. By guiding and supporting these communities, Flipkart is working to integrate rural enterprises into India's broader economic growth story."
