FICCI Ladies Organization's Mumbai Chapter to Celebrate 20th Anniversary on October 19

FICCI Ladies Organization’s Mumbai Chapter is all set to celebrate its 20th anniversary on October 19, 2022. FLO is the women’s business wing of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). The 300 member strong organization’s Mumbai Chapter was established by Kiran Gera in 2002.

Founded in 1983, FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) is headquartered in Delhi. FICCI is the body of industry and commerce in India.Spread across 19 chapters, FLO has more than 7000 members pan India who are all women entrepreneurs and professionals. The organization’s primary objective is to encourage and facilitate women to showcase their talents, skills, experiences and energies across sectors and verticals of the economy, for a truly inclusive economic growth trajectory.

“FLO Mumbai which has had Three national presidents has always tried to create awareness and bring about change in unique ways by providing a platform to women entrepreneurs to display and sell their products, providing skill training to women to become financially independent, and create linkages for artisans to directly connect to market places and corporate houses,” said Tehmina Khandwala Chairperson FLO, Mumbai chapter.

“FLO Mumbai has adopted villages in Palghar and Karjat where skilling centers, community kitchens, schools and computer training centers have been set up to impart skills. So that the children have a healthy living the sanitation and clean drinking water project is also running successfully. These models have been running over the years with support from the local NGOs and every year have very encouraging women participation. An Innovative Honey Beebox project has been rolled out in Palghar where tribal women are trained in organic honey harvesting,” said Vinita Bimbhet, Former president, FICCI FLO.

The Mumbai chapter’s 20th-anniversary celebration will see participation from dignitaries such as AmrutaPhadnavis, Shaina NC, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Chayya Momaya, Ajay & Ryoko De, senior and cine star  Zeenat Aman. National President FLO Jayanti Dalmia and National Treasurer FLO Poonam Mahajan shall also grace the occasion along with Tehmina Khandwala Chairperson FLO Mumbai.
