FICCI FLO Chairperson mets VC Jagdeep Dhankhar to discuss Women's Progress

CMA.CA.CS Divya Abhishek, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Chennai, led a delegation of 30 women entrepreneurs to a meeting with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar in New Delhi, discussing women's empowerment and societal progress, emphasizing the importance of supporting girls facing financial and societal challenges. The VC urged FICCI Ladies Organisation members to support meritious girls facing such challenges and also emphasized the immense impact of education and security.
VC Jagdeep mentions that "When a woman controls the purse of the family, the economy of the family, growth of the family is assured. This has been done in the last ten years massively." He urged members to influence families and corporations to channel CSR efforts toward empowering girls, emphasizing the need for structured initiatives. VC Dhankhar also praised the Supreme Court's ruling on women's equitable assistance, irrespective of religion, and praised India's progress in women-led empowerment. He highlighted President Droupadi Murmu, a tribal woman with humble beginnings.
Chairperson Divya Abhishek thanked the Vice President for his time and emphasized FICCI FLO's commitment to social, economic, and cultural progress. The meeting concluded with a tour of the New and Old Parliament House, symbolizing the collective spirit of the FICCI FLO Chennai Chapter. Divya Abhishek's delegation included past presidents, chairpersons, and other notable figures, including Sudha Shivkumar, Kavitha Dutt Chitturi, Raji Raju, Srikanta Jhaver, Parveen Papa, and others.
