FICCI FLO announces J&K, Ladakh Chapter with Ritu Singh as founding Chairperson

The FICCI FLO on Monday announced its J&K and Ladakh Chapter with Ms. Ritu Singh as its founding Chairperson.
Ms. Ujjwala Singhania, All India President of FICCI FLO, made the announcement in an online Zoom ceremony.
Ms. Vinita Bimbhet, FLO Ex-President, and Ms. Singhania launched the chapter in the presence of all past presidents, current chairpersons of all 17 chapters across India, and the presidium.
Zila Khan, a well-known Sufi artist, was invited to grace the occasion with an enthralling virtual performance.
Ms Bimbhet gave a welcome speech, emphasising how important it was for the women of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh to have a representation at FICCI FLO, and how this could open up numerous opportunities for young leaders looking to work towards transforming their homeland into an exciting economic utopia.
Ms. Singhania introduced the Chairperson Ritu Singh as a magnanimous personality who has extensively and passionately worked for a variety of social causes and has big plans for the new chapter.
Ms. Singh in her speech shared, “We envision a future that will focus on sustainable empowerment for women through purposefully and strategically directed initiatives, which will optimize the spirit of Power to Empower reversing the self before service culture and unshackling barriers to open the gates for socio-economic activities.”
Ms. Varuna Anand, Sr Vice President, Vice President Esther Williams, Executive Secretary Ritika Trehan, and Treasurer Ruchika Gupta were also present.
Ms. Singh expressed her strong belief that there is no better time than the present to spring into action and make champions of every woman in this region.
Ms. Jayanti Dalmia, Sr. Vice President, All India FICCI FLO, proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all attendees and remarking that FICCI FLO expanding its footprints to J&K and Ladakh is definitely history in the making.
FLO is the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry's women's wing (FICCI). FLO is an all-India women's forum with its headquarters in New Delhi and 17 chapters spread across the country. FLO represents over 6800 female business owners and professionals.
