FIA Global Wins the BRICS Women Innovation Contest, Mulan 2022

FIA Global, India’s leading financial services organization with a mission to bring financial inclusion to every doorstep in the subcontinent, has won the international BRICS Women Innovation Contest 2022, held in Beijing in June 2022.
Seema Prem, the CEO and Co-founder of FIA Global, has been recognized as an outstanding, and dynamic woman entrepreneur, committed to the vision of making financial inclusion simple for banks and their rural customers. Seema has been instrumental in creating socially impactful products and services to meet the needs of unserved communities and markets and lead FIA’s efforts to expand its global footprint.
Emphasizing technology-driven, integrated solutions, her focus is on building high-impact, sustainable programs to reach the last mile. She is also responsible for advocacy, governance, and building strategic relationships with governments, financial institutions and other key partners to support and scale social innovations.
Seema is the recipient of the UN Women Transforming India Awardee, 2018 and is the finalist in the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2021, by the Schwab Foundation.
Seema, co-founded FIA in 2012. She was influenced by her childhood spent in some of the most inaccessible terrains in India, with a desire to work towards reducing the inequities she witnessed. FIA is focused on using technology to drive inclusion – economic, digital & financial – of the un(der) served and economically weaker sections.
At FIA, Seema is responsible for innovation in financial products and services so as to cater to the needs of the un(der) served. She also leads FIA’s expansion globally. Prior to FIA, Seema has managed transformation programs in IT, Mobility and Operations, in the US, Europe & India.
Seema has done a Sloan Fellows MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management, and prior to it an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur and a BTech in Electronics & Communications from Kerala University.
Seema is also a UN-NITI Aayog Women Transforming India awardee. In addition to FIA, Seema’s interests include affordable healthcare and sustainable waste management solutions for every household.
