Female Entrepreneurs & WSHGs to be Supported by IIM-Indore

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore, and the Madhya Pradesh Mahila Vitta Evam Vikas Nigam (MPMVVN) on Tuesday. The MoU goal is to support sustainable businesses, support female entrepreneurs, and also support women's self-help groups (WSHGs) in the state. To promote the expansion of WSHGs, women-owned enterprises, and sustainable enterprises both IIM-I and MPMVVN will collaborate on several projects and launch campaigns.
According to the agreement, IIM-Indore and MPMVVN will work together to develop certificate programs for women entrepreneurs, marketing support, training programs for MPMVVN staff members, resource gap analysis, and also for the managerial training process.
Professor Himanshu Rai, the director of IIM-Indore mentioned that the MoU will signify the commitment to empower women entrepreneurs and also promote sustainable businesses. The institution hopes to assist MPMVVN in enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Madhya Pradesh by utilizing the knowledge of management education and research. He further added that this MoU will be valid for the next three years.
The women entrepreneurs and WSHGs will be greatly benefited from the support provided by IIMs in developing marketing strategies, certification programs, and training programs, stated Manoj Pushp, the Managing Director of MPMVVN. The help from IIM-I in appointing skilled marketing firms to support WSHGs in creating sustainable businesses that will also help them to increase their market portfolio and sales volumes.
