Balaji Viswanathan, the Managing Director and CEO of Expleo India has been appointed as an honorary member of the advisory board for the Forum for Women in Leadership (WILL Forum). His addition to the board signifies Expleo's strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
In his new role, Balaji Viswanathan will actively support research on gender diversity within corporate boards, advocate for gender governance in member organizations, and provide mentorship opportunities for women to advance into leadership positions. The WILL Forum, renowned for its efforts in mentoring women executives and cultivating a pipeline of board-ready female leaders, aims to nurture a supportive environment for senior women executives to discuss their aspirations and opportunities openly.
Expleo, a leading global technology, engineering, and consulting service provider, is dedicated to achieving gender equality and diversity. The company has implemented sustained mentorship programs, leadership initiatives, and women-focused hiring drives, earning recognition as one of India's 'Best Organizations for Women' by the Economic Times.
With Balaji Viswanathan's appointment to the advisory board, Expleo intends to further its efforts in fostering gender-sensitive leadership while empowering women in the fields of engineering and technology.
Expressing his gratitude, Balaji Viswanathan stated, "I am honored to join the distinguished advisory board of the WILL Forum. This collaboration reflects Expleo's steadfast commitment to promoting women in leadership roles, embracing diversity, breaking barriers to success, and power innovation through inclusion and diversity."
Founder of WILL Forum, Poonam Barua, applauded Balaji's dedication to driving gender equity and emphasized that CEOs should take a leading role in championing women's leadership within organizations, personally steering the agenda rather than delegating such crucial responsibilities to HR or diversity officers.
To kickstart their collaboration, Expleo and WILL Forum will host the inaugural joint Roundtable Series on "Women, Workplace, and Willpower" in Bangalore on August 3, 2023. The event aims to chart a bold and reliable path toward increasing the number of women leaders in the fields of technology, engineering, and beyond.
With Balaji Viswanathan's participation and Expleo's unwavering support, the partnership seeks to bring about positive change, driving an inclusive future for all stakeholders, and accelerating progress towards gender equality and diversity in the workplace.
