By: WE Staff | Tuesday, 6 April 2021
Bangalore-based E-learning startup, Scaler Academy has launched the first edition of CodeX, a national-level coding challenge for technology professionals and aspirants.
The objective of the challenge is to provide participants, a platform to learn and improve their coding skills. The participants have a chance to win cash prizes, scholarships, and counseling from top mentors from the industry and the top performers' profiles will be shared with the Scalers' industry partners for recruitment.
The upskilling platform for students and working professionals is an online tech-versity for the top 1 percent of software developers in the country. It helps professionals unlock talent and opportunities throughout their careers.
Scaler programs are aimed at developing an elite ecosystem of engineers and mentors to help talent scale and build the next generation of global tech leaders. It is a product by InterviewBit.
Scaler Academy, an online accelerator was founded by IIT Hyderabad alums Anshuman Singh and Abhimanyu Saxena in 2019 along with InterviewBit. The company has raised $21.5 million in investment to date. The academy is backed up by investors like Sequoia, GFC, TigerGlobal, and RocketInternet.
CodeX is a 2.5-hour long coding challenge scheduled to start from 9th April 2021. It is open to all coding enthusiasts and has two modes – CodeX Competitive Mode and CodeX Learning Mode. Participants will compete against some of the best in the country for a range of prizes and rewards in the competitive mode. The learning mode, on the other hand, would allow coders who want to hone their skills without the pressure of a competition to take the test and concentrate on learning rather than competing for prizes.
Both participants can receive personalized performance reviews and will take advantage of counseling sessions to help them learn about how to advance their careers. Top performers will also have the opportunity to win cash prizes and scholarships worth over 70 lakhs, as well as direct access to the Scaler Academy programme.
Scaler has created an exclusive opportunity for women coders to participate in fireside chats with inspiring women technocrats and interact with them on managing expectations, breaking the glass ceiling, and building a career in tech. Senior women leaders will mentor the top performers. They will also receive sponsored scholarships from Scaler’s industry partners along with a chance to be mentored by senior technical staff. This initiative is to enhance female participation in the tech workforce.
“At Scaler, we strongly believe in rewarding excellence and facilitating learning. A key driver of learning & excellence is a constant practice to better yourself, and what better way than CodeX to give coders across the country a platform to find out where they stand and what their improvement areas are. We hope that we can nurture the community of coders across the country and provide them with the support they need to scale up their careers,” said, Abhimanyu Saxena, Co-Founder, Scaler & InterviewBit.
