The G20 Summit is being held in Delhi, and to ensure that foreign visitors have a seamless experience, the traders of Chandani Chowk traders have hired around 100 women entrepreneurs who speak fluent English, French, Spanish, and other languages. According to its Chairman Brijesh Goyal, the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has collaborated with these female business owners, fashion designers, salon and boutique owners, influencers, and bloggers who are proficient in languages like English, French, Spanish, and German to work as translators.
According to him, from September 8, 2023, to September 10, 2023, these hired females will help the vendors at Chandani Chowk market to interact with foreign tourists.
Mr. Brijesh also mentioned the list of volunteers sent to the Ministry of External Affairs by the CTI so that they could assist the foreign delegates and traders from other markets. The major markets of New Delhi will be closed during the G20 Summit whereas Chandani Chowk, renowned for its food and shopping options will be a major draw for the tourists.
This step will provide easy communication with foreign visitors. In preparation for the G20 Leaders Summit that will be held on September 9 and 10 at the International Convention Center at Pragati Maidan, many notable roads and areas have been cleaned.
