Dina Powell Appointed As Meta's President and Vice Chairman

Dina Powell McCormick has been named President and Vice Chairman of Meta. She has also been on Meta's Board of Directors and has been engaged with Meta's initiatives on frontier AI and personal super intelligence.

Meta CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg stated that McCormick has experience in international finance that will facilitate the growth of Meta in its next phase.

In her new position, Dina will be joining the management team at Meta and will take part in the implementation of the company’s strategic plan.

Furthermore, she will work in conjunction with the compute and infrastructure teams at Meta in the assessment of the economic impact of Meta’s multi-billion-dollar investments, which operate in different regions. In addition, she will work towards building strategic capital partnerships.

Dina has over 25 years of experience in international finance, national security, and economic development. She was a 16-year veteran of Goldman Sachs, a partner, and a senior executive who sat on the firm’s Management Committee and headed the Global Sovereign Investment Banking business.

She was also engaged in projects like 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses, and One Million Black Women in her previous role.

For her service to the public, Dina has worked in two U.S. administrations. She has also worked as the Deputy National Security Advisor for President Donald J. Trump in addition to being a Senior White House Advisor and Assistant Secretary of State for President George W. Bush.

Currently, she is the Vice Chair, President, and the global head of client services at the BDT & MSD Partners.
