Pune's Diana Pundole will be the first Indian woman to make it to the starting line of a Ferrari in an international motorsport event. The 32-year-old will represent India in the Ferrari Club Challenge Middle East, a race series starting in November 2025 and ending in April 2026.
Diana would drive a Ferrari 296 Challenge, one of Ferrari’s new track-specific models, on world-famous tracks for Formula 1 racing in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
This is a landmark moment in Indian motorsport, and Diana's involvement signifies a move towards greater gender diversity in an area traditionally dominated by men.
"To get the chance to represent India and drive a Ferrari abroad is an unimaginable privilege," Diana said.
The Ferrari Club Challenge allows both professional and amateur racing drivers to test the speed, precision and endurance of the high-performance Ferraris against one another in a competitive but safe environment.
Diana began on local time trials and national racing circuits, where she earned her stripes through precise driving and technical skill while on track. Since then, she was progressed to advanced training throughout simulators and European track courses to prepare her for international racing.
With her inclusion, Pundole joins a select list among international drivers representing the Ferrari badge, which is a proud moment for the motorsport community in India!
